Two County Clare locations feature in a landmark international television production promoting contemporary Ireland through the medium of music and performance art.

The Department of Public Health Mid-West and the HSE Environmental Health Service have launched a joint awareness campaign to encourage people to test and treat their private well water in order to reduce the risk of serious illness from drinking contaminated or poor quality water.

Clare County Council, in association with An Taisce, is urging people to spring into action and get involved in cleaning up the county as part of the annual National Spring Clean campaign. 

The next phase of the regeneration of the Ennis Public Realm will involve major construction works at O’Connell Street, High Street, Bank Place, High street, Barrack street, O’Connell Square and Barrack Square.  

Clare Arts Office has opened a call for musicians and promoters to submit ideas for live music performances throughout the county in May and June 2022.

Clare County Council hosted a Covid-19 Ceremony of Remembrance and Reflection at Áras Contae an Chláir on Sunday, 20th March, at 3:00pm. The ceremony was organised in collaboration with the HSE and An Garda Síochána.

Students from Scariff Community College visited the Clare County Council offices at Áras Contae an Chláir in Ennis on Wednesday, 9th March, to discuss how their submission informed the preparation of the Draft Clare County Development Plan.

Clare County Council has been awarded €78,500 under the Disability Participation and Awareness Fund (DPAF) 2021 to promote and implement the Autism Aware County Clare programme.

It was announced recently that approximately €30,000 will be allocated towards social enterprises in Clare under the Social Enterprise Capital Grants Scheme. 

The Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council has reminded the people of Clare that the deadline for making submissions on the Draft County Development Plan closes on Monday, 28th March, at 4:00pm.
