Traffic management information for DDF Irish Open
Visitors to Lahinch during the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open (4-7 July) at Lahinch Golf Club are being encouraged to take advantage of FREE Park & Ride shuttle services.
All public parking will be located at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open Park & Ride facilities 200m south of Moy House on Miltown Malbay road to ensure minimal disruption for Lahinch residents and assist with traffic flow. Fans are advised to turn off their satellite navigation systems and follow the appropriate signage to the Park & Ride sites.
The Dubai Duty Free Irish Open Park & Ride service will run from
- 7:00am to 8:45pm on Wednesday July 3
- 6:15am to 10pm on Thursday July 4 to Saturday July 6,
- 6:15am to 8pm on the final day of play on Sunday July 7
The service will be free for all spectators, with visitors travelling to Lahinch who do not plan to attend the golf also permitted to use the Park & Ride system free of charge.
There will also be a free public bus services to and from the event for residents of both Ennistymon and Liscannor from 7:00 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday July 3, 6:15 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Thursday July 4 to Saturday July 6, and from 6:15am to 8pm on Sunday July 7. With fans able to easily walk between the course and the popular tourist town of Lahinch, spectators are advised to avoid driving into the town, where there will be several additional traffic regulations and parking restrictions in place.
Restrictions will be in place on the R478 Lahinch Town – Liscannor from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday July 3 to Sunday July 7, and the N67 Lahinch Main Street from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday July 5 to Sunday July 7.
Tickets for the 2019 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open are on sale at www.dubaidutyfreeirishopen.com and begin at €23 for Pro-Am Wednesday, with single tickets for Thursday or Friday costing €30 and day tickets for each weekend day costing €35 each. An adult season ticket, which covers five days of world-class golf from Wednesday to Sunday, begins at a special price of just €110. Children under 12 years of age are entitled to free entry when accompanied by an adult, day junior tickets for those between 12 and 17 years of age are €10 (€30 for a season ticket) while those aged between 18 and 21, as well as students with valid student cards and over 60s, can avail of a concession ticket - €20 for a day (€80 for a season).
The second Rolex Series event on the 2019 Race to Dubai will welcome a star-studded field, including 2017 Champion Jon Rahm, former World Number One Martin Kaymer, Europe’s 2020 Ryder Cup captain Padraig Harrington, Englishman Ian Poulter and previous Rolex Series event winners Tommy Fleetwood, Lee Westwood and homegrown star Shane Lowry. The 2014 Ryder Cup winning captain Paul McGinley will host the event, with tens of thousands of fans expected to descend on the County Clare links, perched on the famous Wild Atlantic Way coast of Ireland.
Clare County Council is delighted to confirm details of the Lahinch Family Fest 2019 (5-7 July 2019), coinciding with the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open 2019. The free festival will feature entertainment throughout Main Street in Lahinch as well as on the Gig Rig, located on the Promenade.
