Ministers Humphreys and Joe O’Brien announce €145,630.52 for 87 projects in County Clare under the Local Enhancement Programme 2024

The Department of Rural and Community Development and Clare County Council are pleased to invite Expressions of Interest for funding under the Community Recognition Fund 2024.

The Elected Members of Clare County Council have unanimously adopted a six-year integrated economic and community strategic plan for County Clare.

The Department of Rural and Community Development Local Enhancement Programme (LEP) 2024 will provide capital funding to support community groups in County Clare.

Clare County Council’s Rural Development Directorate is hosting a series of walk-in clinics to support communities in preparing their applications for schemes that are presently open, including the Local Area Grant Scheme 2024.

Clare Local Community Development Committee (LCDC), a subcommittee of Clare County Council, has signed contracts with Clare Local Development Company (CLDC) to deliver the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) for 2024-2028 on behalf of the LCDC following their successful tender submission.

The Clare Age Friendly Programme, supported by the Clare Older People’s Council, has developed a comprehensive guide to the essential services and supports available for older adults and their families in the county.

A series of free online training webinars are being offered to community and voluntary groups across Clare as part of the ‘Clare Autism Aware’ programme.

Clare’s Older People’s Council, supported by Clare County Council’s Age Friendly Clare and Healthy Clare programmes, hosted a very successful Health and Wellbeing Age Expo at Treacy’s West County Hotel, Ennis, on Friday 30th June.

A public consultation process has commenced around the development of a new six-year plan that will guide the future economic and community development of County Clare.

Free online training webinars with Autism Consultant, Dr Susan Crawford, will take place in May as part of the ‘Clare Autism Aware’ programme.

Clare County Council has today launched two grant schemes aimed at providing funding opportunities to community groups and local organisations throughout the county.  

The Clare Local Community Development Committee’s (LCDC) Healthy Clare team, based in the Rural and Community Development Directorate at Clare County Council, have created a Healthy Clare 2023 Calendar.
