Declaration of Public Roads under Section 11 Roads Act, 1993.  

In accordance with the provision of the Roads Act, 1993 Clare County Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE of its intention to consider the making of a Declaration that the road listed hereunder be a public road.

The said road is depicted on a map which can be inspected during office hours, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Planning Department, Áras Contae an Chláir, New Road, Ennis, Co. Clare. Clare County Council proposes to take in charge the said road and pursuant to the provision of Section 180(4) of the Planning and Development Act 2000, as amended, where an Order under Section 11 has been made, the Council proposes to then take in charge the services and public open spaces within the area highlighted in red as shown on the map, excluding private areas.

Total length of road to be taken over is 120 metres of roadway.

Description of road

Road from its junction with the Public Road L2500-0, to all terminal points within the estate, serving houses 1 to 3 in Fort Lawn, Kilrush, Co Clare.  Road coloured yellow on Map No. 2022-1078-01.

Developments served by public water/wastewater infrastructure will be subject to consultation with Irish Water as part of the statutory process.

A map showing this road may be inspected between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday in the Planning Department, Áras Contae an Chláir, New Road, Ennis, Co. Clare or may be downloaded below.

Objections or representations with regard to the declaration may be made in writing and must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. on 14th of April 2023 to the:
