Declaration of Public Roads -

Section 11 Roads Act, 1993.

In accordance with the provision of the Roads Act, 1993 Clare County Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE of its intention to consider the making of a declaration that the roads listed hereunder be public roads.

The said roads are depicted on maps which can be inspected during office hours, 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. in the Planning Department, Áras Contae an Chláir, New Road, Ennis, Co. Clare. Clare County Council proposes to take in charge the roads and pursuant to the provision of Section 180(4) of the Planning and Development Act, where an Order under Section 11 has been made, the Council proposes to then take in charge the services and public open spaces within the areas outlined in green as shown on the maps, excluding private areas. Objections or representations with regard to the declaration may be made in writing and must be received by the Administrative Officer, Planning Department, Áras Contae an Chláir, New Road, Ennis, Co Clare no later than 4.00 p.m. on Thursday, 1st May 2025.

Developments served by public water/wastewater infrastructure will be subject to consultation with Irish Water as part of the statutory process.
