Heritage Course to be hosted in Kilrush
Clare County Council and Limerick and Clare Education & Training Board are running a 12 week heritage course, entitled 'Reading Your Local Landscape', in Kilrush from 6th March to the end of May 2019.
Heritage Consultant, Zena Hoctor will deliver a practical course which will enable participants to identify, examine and record the heritage features of their own local area through a combination of fieldwork and desk research.
The free course includes an introduction to geology, biodiversity, archaeology and the natural heritage of Kilrush, Moyasta, Kilkee, Doonbeg, Cooraclare, Creegh, Kilmihil, Killimer and the surrounding area.
This course is funded by Creative Ireland, Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board and Clare County Council and is part of the Clare Culture and Creativity Strategy 2018-2022 and Clare Heritage Plan 2017-2023.
