Proposed Section 38 traffic calming measures on L3179 & R458 Clonmoney
Notice is hereby given that Clare County Council, pursuant to the provisions of Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994, propose to install the following traffic calming measures:
L3179 local road and R458 regional road at Clonmoney West and Clonmoney North, Co. Clare
From the existing controlled pedestrian crossing on the R458 regional road to east of Clonmoney National School: Construction of a raised courtesy crossing at the junction between the R458 and L3179 roads, reduction in roadway width, modifications to existing footpaths, tightening of junctions, installation of public lighting, relocation of poles & other existing services.
Associated works shall include landscaping, planting, drainage, installation of new kerbs, dropped kerbs and tactile paving together with modifications to / installation of all necessary traffic signs and road markings and road reinstatement thereafter.
Plans and particulars for the development are attached below and will be available until Monday, 26th June 2023.
Submissions & observations in relation to the proposals may be made by email to roads@clarecoco.ie or in writing to the Administrative Officer, Transportation Department, Clare County Council, Áras Contae an Chláir, New Road, Ennis, Co. Clare before 4:00 p.m. on Monday, 26th June 2023.
