Parking in County Clare
Pay and Display parking operates in Ennis, Lahinch, Kilkee and Doolin Pier. Parking discs operate in Kilrush.
Pay by App / Pay by phone parking is available in Ennis, Lahinch, Kilkee, Kilrush and Doolin Pier.
This allows you to pay for parking using your mobile phone.
Ennis
Pay and Display parking operates in Ennis in all car parks and also for on-street parking, Monday to Saturday, all year round, except for Bank Holidays.
Parking rates in Ennis
A minimum of €1 will apply to all car parks.
The minimum fee on all on-street parking machines is 50 cent.
On-street car parking at O'Connell Street/Upper O'Connell Street, High Street, Barrack Street and Bank Place is €1.00 for 30 minutes duration.
Pay and Display operates in all the car parks and also for on-street parking, Monday to Saturday, all year round, except for Bank Holidays. You can purchase a ticket from the pay and display machines. You must display the ticket visibly on the vehicle dashboard.
€1.00 entitles you to either 1/2, 1, 2 or 4 hours on-street parking depending on the zone.
Most car parks are €1.00 per hour. The exceptions are the long stay car parks:
- Cloughleigh, €2.00 for 8 hours and
- Glór, €3.00 for 8 hours.

The bye-laws are intended to help you by:
- Eliminating obstruction and reducing congestion
- Improving road safety
- Increasing the turnover of on street parking spaces
The bye-laws are prepared by the traffic management section for consideration and adoption by the elected members of Clare County Council. Clare County Council employs traffic wardens to implement the above bye-laws.
Kilkee
Pay and Display parking operates in the East End and West End Car Parks in Kilkee. Tickets are required 7 days per week from 1st June to 15th September between the hours of 11.00am and 6.00pm. A ticket can be purchased from the pay and display machines or on the Park Magic App.
A €2.00 parking ticket entitles you to 3 hours parking. A €5 ticket entitles you to park for the full day.
Lahinch
Pay and Display operates in the Promenade and Liscannor Road car parks. Tickets are required 7 days a week all year round - during the period 9:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m.
You can purchase a ticket from the pay and display machines. You must display the ticket must visibly on the vehicle dashboard.
- A €2.00 parking ticket entitles you to 3 hours parking.
- A €4.00 ticket entitles you to up to 10 hours parking.

Kilrush
Two-hour free on-street parking is available in Kilrush and the car park is free all day.
Tickets are required between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday
Parking discs operates on:
- Henry Street
- Frances Street
- Lower Frances Street
- Market Square
- Burton Street
- Vandeleur Street
- Moore Street
- John Street
You can purchase parking discs from the municipal district office or various local businesses.
Tickets are required between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday.
A €1.00 parking ticket entitles you to 2 hours parking. The first 2 hours is free of charge.
Doolin Pier
Pay and Display operates at Doolin Pier where a ticket can be purchased from the pay and display machines or parking can be paid for by using the app "Parkmagic" on your mobile phone.
Tariffs:
- €1: up to 2 hours
- €5: More than 2 hours and less than 30 hours
- €15 >= 30 hours < 1 week
A further charge of €10 shall apply to each week or part of a week.
Customers can also pre-pay for parking at their nearest council office.
