Roads, Environment and Water Services Department

We are responsible for waste management, environmental monitoring and enforcement measures, pollution investigation and control and the protection of surface water. We support the community through environmental education and awareness programs. 

Irish Water is the national water utility responsible for the delivery of water services to homes and businesses in Ireland. Clare County Council is acting as an agent of Irish Water for the provision of water and waste water in the county.

This department is part of the Physical development directorate .
