Elected members of Clare County Council joined with Oireachtas members, members of the glór board, management team and staff of Clare County Council in attending a tour of the new De Valera Library and art gallery located at the Causeway Link, Ennis, on Friday, 31st May.

The Liverpool Céilí Band originated in post-war Liverpool and became famous as a traditional Irish band, entering its first Fleadh Cheoil competition in Thurles in 1959 and subsequently becoming the first non-Irish band to be crowned All-Ireland Champions in 1963 at Mullingar, a feat they repeated in 1964 at Clones.
An Taisce announced on 20th May 2024 that Blue Flags have been retained for the 2024 bathing season by eight Clare beaches, namely Ballycuggaran, Fanore, Kilkee, Lahinch, Mountshannon, Spanish Point, White Strand Doonbeg and White Strand Miltown Malbay. Ballyallia Lake, Bishopsquarter, Carrigaholt Beach and Seafield have each retained the Green Coast Award. Meanwhile, Quilty beach is a first-time recipient of the Green Coast Award. Kilrush Marina has been included in the list of Blue Flag Marinas for the fourth consecutive year.
