Ennis Municipal District is delighted to announce a call for participants for the 2022 Ennis St Patrick’s Day parade.

Members of the public in County Clare are being encouraged to provide input on the Draft Clare County Development Plan 2023-2029.

On Tuesday 1st February at 7.00pm, Clare County Council will formally launch the Clare Holy Wells Project webpage. 

The launch is online via Zoom and celebrates the surveying and documenting of 237 holy wells in the county.

Applications are now invited for the Creative Ireland Clare Project Awards 2022.

The Shannon Town Centre Masterplan, funded by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage under the Urban Regeneration and Development Fund (URDF) and Project Ireland 2040 sets out a clear strategic framework for the renewed development of Shannon Town Centre, providing for a shared vision for its future development. 

Local Enterprise Office Clare now supporting over 230 Small Businesses and 1,330 jobs according to new figures

• Net employment gain of 153 in 2021

Clare County Council is pleased to publish the results of the Ennis pedestrianisation survey which was conducted online and in paper format in October, 2021.

Cllr. PJ Ryan, Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council, has opened an online book of condolence for the late Ashling Murphy, as a sign of solidarity with her family and friends.

Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys TD, and Minister of State with responsibility for Community Development and Charities, Joe O’Brien TD, recently announced a €9 million fund to support community groups impacted by Covid-19.

Following extensive consultation with Elected Members and the local community, Clare County Council has confirmed it will not be proceeding with a proposal to erect the Púca of Ennistymon artwork in the North Clare town.
