Notice of variation to the basic rate of Local Property Tax

In pursuance of the provisions of section 20 of the FINANCE (LOCAL PROPERTY TAX) ACT 2012 (as amended) at a meeting of Clare County Council on 12^th July 2021 a resolution was passed to the effect that the basic rate of local property tax should stand varied upwards by 15 per cent for the year 2022 in respect of relevant residential properties situated in the local authority’s administrative area.

County Clare lifeguard service

The lifeguard service will commence at Lahinch, Spanish Point, Fanore and Kilkee on Saturday, 5th June, and will remain in place until Tuesday, 31st August. That is 5th June to 31st August inclusive. The lifeguard service will operate on September 4th-5th and also 11th-12th.

O’Connell Monument: repair and refurbishment works

The structural repair and refurbishment works to the O’Connell Monument which were put on hold due to Covid-19 will now commence on 9th June, 2021, with scaffolding to be erected in the first week. This project is being part funded under the Historic Structure Fund 2020 from the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht and will take up to 12 weeks to complete (without interruption).
