Notice of variation to the basic rate of Local Property Tax

In pursuance of the provisions of section 20 of the Finance (Local Property Tax) Act 2012 (as amended) at a meeting of Clare County Council on 21st September 2020 a resolution was passed to the effect that the basic rate of Local Property Tax should stand varied upwards by 15 per cent for the year 2021 in respect of relevant residential properties situated in the local authority’s administrative area.

Have your say on the new Clare County Development Plan

The Planning Department of Clare County Council has today (18th September, 2020) officially commenced the process of preparing the new Clare County Development Plan for the period 2022-2028.

The County Development Plan sets out an overall strategy for the proper planning and sustainable development of the county over a six-year period. Every six years, the Planning Authority is legally obliged to make a new County Development Plan, which must set out the strategic spatial vision and future direction for the County.

Road works on R463 Broadford to Limerick road at Larkins Cross junction

Clare County Council wishes to give notice of road works commencing on 14th September, 2020, on the R463 Broadford to Limerick road at Larkins Cross junction. 

Notice of temporary closure of R-352

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 of Clare County Council’s intention to temporarily close the following road to facilitate installation of a new culvert at Callaghy, Tuamgreaney, Co. Clare.

Proposed temporary road diversion at Griffin Street, Kilrush, to facilitate road resurfacing works

As part of the 2020 Road Works Programme Clare County Council intends to introduce a temporary road diversion for the following road to facilitate necessary road improvement works.

Restoration improvement works on L-4126

Clare County Council will be carrying out restoration improvement works on the L-4126 Ballyline to Dromore Road from Tuesday, 8^th September, to Friday, 11th September (inclusive), from 8am to 6pm daily.

Temporary modifications at Parnell Street Car Park

There will be temporary modifications to the taxi rank and existing parking at Parnell Street Car Park starting from the morning of Monday, 31st August, and continuing until Friday, 4th September.

Have Your Say on the Killaloe - Ballina Town Enhancement and Mobility Plan

Clare County Council and Tipperary County Council have commenced the preparation of a Killaloe - Ballina Town Enhancement and Mobility Plan. The plan will facilitate a coordinated approach to public realm enhancements within Killaloe and Ballina, providing a clear vision for Killaloe and Ballina as linked settlements. Specific measures, designs and schemes will promote the towns’ complementarity, and create an overall focus on their joint strengths and opportunities in terms of functionality, aesthetics and the changing transport and mobility profile of the towns as a result of the future Killaloe Bypass and Shannon bridge crossing.
