Pay traffic fines online

Online payment for traffic fines issued in County Clare. 

Fines are generally available for online payment two working days after the date of issue. 

  • A fine issued on a Monday will be available to pay on the following Wednesday.
  • A fine issued on a Sunday will be available to pay on the following Tuesday, or on the following Wednesday, in the event that the Monday is a bank holiday.
  • If your fine is not available for payment, please try again the next day.
  • Please retain your receipt as proof of payment.

You will need your:

  • Parking Ticket Number: This is the 10 digit number on the ticket.
  • Vehicle Registration Number.
  • You can use Visa/Delta, Mastercard and Laser cards.
  • Please retain a copy of the receipt number as your proof of payment.

How to pay online

  • Click on the "Pay online now" link above.
  • Enter your Parking Ticket Number in the Parking Ticket Number field.
    The parking ticket number is a 10 digit number.

  • Enter the Vehicle Registration number without dashes or spaces (e.g. 171CE1234).
    The system will then display the details for this ticket, click Submit.
  • Confirm that the details for your ticket are correct and click Submit.
  • Payment Step 1. Select Payment Method, select credit card or debit card, click Pay.
  • Payment Step 2. Payment Details, review amount and payment method and click Accept.
  • Enter credit card or debit card details, click Pay Now.
  • Payment Step 3. Receipt is displayed and includes the Receipt Number.
  • If you require an email receipt enter email address, select Send Receipt.
  • Retain or print your receipt for your records.

Privacy and security

Payments are processed by Realex, a third party payment service provider, which provides a secure environment to protect your transactions. Your credit/debit card information is not transmitted outside the secure site.

Refunds

If a parking ticket has been paid in error or has been paid twice, a refund may be arranged. Refunds are decided on a case by case basis. To apply for a refund, write to the:
