Complaint under the Official Languages Act 2003
The principal responsibilities of An Coimisinéir Teanga are to monitor the manner in which public bodies throughout the country are complying with the provisions of the Act and to take every measure to ensure that public bodies fulfil duties under the Act.
An Coimisinéir Teanga is also charged with investigating complaints where there are grounds to believe that public bodies have failed to fulfil their obligations under the Official Languages Act or under any other enactment which deals with the status of the use of Gaeilge.
Complaints can be made or further information sought, by post, fax, email or telephone.
