Adopted Kilkee Parking Bye-Laws 2024

Notice is hereby given that Clare County Council in exercise of the powers vested in it by Section 199(2)(a) of the Local Government Act, 2001, as amended, Section 101 of the Road Traffic Act, 1961, as amended, Section 36 of the Road Traffic Act, 1994, and in accordance with Part 19 of the Local Government Act 2001, has adopted the Kilkee Parking Bye-Laws 2024.

The bye-laws shall come into force on 1st June 2024 and are effective each year thereafter from 1st June to 15th September.

The bye-laws set out the fees applicable in the East End and West End car parks in Kilkee and the length of time a car can park at these locations on payment of a particular fee. Overnight camping and parking of campervans and caravans is prohibited in the areas covered in the bye-laws, with the exception of a designated area marked in blue on the map in the Third Schedule of the bye-laws. The bye-laws impose a 2 hour limit on the length of time a vehicle can park on O’Curry Street and makes provision for the issuing of parking permits for residents and property owners on O’Curry Street. The bye-laws prohibit parking in the Harbour Area as marked in pink on the map in the Third Schedule of the bye-laws.
