Proposed Section 38 traffic calming measures at Ballybeg/Kildysert Road Junction, Ennis

Notice is hereby given that Clare County Council, pursuant to Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994, propose to install the following traffic calming measures:

Proposed traffic calming at Ballybeg / Kildysert Road Junction, Ennis, County Clare.

The works shall involve -

  • Extension of existing kerbing and footway over the existing narrow bridge.
  • Installation of 2 No 2.4m wide uncontrolled raised pedestrian crossings with tactile paving.
  • Provision of “Give and Take” traffic management across the existing narrow bridge
  • Upgrade of existing surface water drainage.
  • Realignment of existing kerbing.
  • Setting back of existing boundary wall
  • Provision of all associated signage and road markings.

Plans and particulars of the proposed scheme are available online at www.clarecoco.ie until Monday 9th September 2024.

Submissions and observations in relation to the proposals may be made by email to roads@clarecoco.ie or in writing to Administrative Officer, Clare County Council, Roads and Transportation Department, Áras Contae an Chláir, New Road, Ennis, Co. Clare before 4:00 p.m. on Monday 9th September 2024.
