Proposed Section 38 traffic calming measures in Shannon
Notice is hereby given that Clare County Council, pursuant of Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994, propose to install the following traffic calming measures:
R471 Ballycasey, junction with the L7390 Ballycasey Avenue, Shannon Co. Clare
Construction of a raised table with an uncontrolled pedestrian crossing, footpath buildout, junction tightening, installation of tactile paving, all associated signs and road markings.
L3170 Smithstown Road junction with the L3172 Bóhar na Luachra, Shannon Co. Clare
Construction of 3 no. raised tables with controlled pedestrian crossings, belisha beacons, footpath buildout, junction tightening, installation of tactile paving, all associated signs and road markings.
L3300 Bóhar na Luachra at Aidan Park, Shannon Co. Clare
Construction of a raised table with controlled pedestrian crossing, belisha beacons, installation of tactile paving, all associated signs and road markings.
Plans and particulars of the proposed development are attached below and will be available until 7th October 2024.
Submissions and observations in relation to the proposals may be made by email to roads@clarecoco.ie or in writing to Administrative Officer, Transportation Section, Clare County Council, Áras Contae an Chláir, New Road, Ennis, Co. Clare before 4:00 p.m. on Monday 7th October 2024.
