Temporary road closure at O'Connell Street Ennis from Barrack Street to Carmody Street
Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 of Clare County Council’s decision to close the road detailed hereunder for the period stated to facilitate the excavation of existing footpaths and carriageway surface, new and replacement of underground services and utilities, replacing of existing public lighting columns and lanterns with new columns and lanterns, replacing footpaths, resurfacing of existing carriageway surfaces with natural stone and asphalt, new signage and road markings.
Road to be closed:
O’ Connell Street Ennis, from Barrack Street to Carmody Street.
Date and time of closure:
From 30th of September 2024 to 01st of December 2024. 24 Hour Closure.
Alternative routes / diversions:
There will be no through road from O’Connell Street to Carmody St for the duration of the closure. Diversion route from O’ Connell Street and Cathedral Place to Carmody Road will be via Barrack St and Upper Market Street. A diversion route map is attached below.
