Matters Arising from Minutes
Perry Long asked about the forestry plan, seeking assurance that the buffer zone will be maintained. John Leahy assured the meeting that where felling is required, the work will be done in phases and replanting will be carried out immediately.
Perry Long asked when is the final sealing of Phase 3? John Leahy replied stating that the preliminary design is now completed and submitted to the EPA.
Sheila McTigue asked if the forestry project on the site generates funds? John Leahy replied stating that funds generated will be used at the facility.
Perry Long commented on the grass cutting along the N85, in the Inagh area. It was nice to have it done.
Odour Management
There were no issues reported.
Correspondence
The list of correspondence between CCC & the EPA was circulated.
The summary of the leachate removed was circulated.
Any other business
Community Fund - Clare McGrath informed the meeting that the Evaluation panel was elected in November, and Tom Long, Perry Long and John Longe were the local representative on the Evaluation panel. The evaluation committee had its first meeting in February and approval in principle was given to 6 group projects, subject to receiving additional information, which is due on April 7th 2017.
