Clare County Library is delighted to announce a series of job skills classes for those who are currently not working in paid employment, considering a career change or are currently furloughed. The classes will take place in November.
On Monday (18th October, 2021), the Joint Policing Committee (JPC) of Clare County Council and Clare Garda Division hosted a special meeting in the Council Chamber in Áras Contae an Chláir, Ennis, which was attended by the Garda Commissioner, Drew Harris.
Clare County Council and Clare County Fire and Rescue Service are urging members of the public and businesses not to supply any waste material to persons who do not hold a valid waste collection permit.
In preparation for the development of a Local Area Plan for Ennis, Clare County Council is engaging with the wider community as part of the Ennis Mobility Plan, which will examine all modes of transport for the sustainable movement of people within Ennis and its environs.

At the October meeting of Clare County Council, the Cathaoirleach Cllr PJ Ryan stated his disappointment that the remainder of the Limerick Northern Distributor Road (LNDR) has not been included in the programme in the National Development Plan 2021-2030 (NDP) by the Government, but added that he believes the road will be completed in due course.
Clare County Fire and Rescue Service has taken delivery of four new four-wheel-drive vehicles at the Central Fire Station Headquarters in Ennis.
Today, 7th October 2021, saw the launch of the ‘Shannon in Bloom’ initiative with the community taking the lead in planting 50,000 pollinator friendly bulbs across the Shannon Municipal District stretching from Clonlara to Shannon Town.
The new dressing room facilities at Active Ennis Tim Smythe Park were officially opened on Tuesday, 5th October, by the Mayor of Ennis Municipal District, Cllr Ann Norton.
