Clare County Council is helping to raise awareness of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, which takes place on 15th October this year.

Clare Arts Office is delighted to announce the first of a series of new commissions which have been supported through the Creative Ireland Programme. 

Clare Museum has received grant funding of €10,200 from the Heritage Council and the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage to increase community access to its collection and activities during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ennis has achieved the highest cleanliness level in the most recent Irish Business Against Litter (IBAL) nationwide litter survey, with eight out of 10 sites surveyed in the town being awarded the top litter grade.

Clare County Council has received an allocation of €140,810 from a new €5 million fund under the Community Enhancement Programme (CEP), which will provide capital grants towards the maintenance, improvement and upkeep of community centres and community buildings.

Student entrepreneurs across Clare have begun their journey in this year’s Student Enterprise Programme, with eyes on next year’s national final. This Local Enterprise Office-run programme will be delivered differently given the current restrictions across the country, and the final, which will take place on Friday, 14th May, 2021, will be a virtual one.

The importance of having working smoke alarms installed in the home is the key message of National Fire Safety Week 2020, which is taking place this week (5th to 12th October).

The Government has announced that, from midnight tonight, all counties including Clare will be placed on Level 3 under the Plan for Living with Covid-19.

• Áras Contae an Chláir, Ennis: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and by appointment from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (access via car park at rear of building)
• Killaloe Municipal District (MD) office, Scarriff: 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and by appointment from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• West Clare MD offices, Ennistymon and Kilrush: 9.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m., and by appointment from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Shannon MD office: 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and by appointment from 1:00p.m. to 4:00 p.m

Clare County Council and consultants have signed a contract for the design of the Inis Cealtra (Holy Island) Visitor Experience.
