Parade Information
Ennis Municipal District invites individuals, groups, clubs and societies from across Clare to participate in the 2025 Ennis St. Patrick's Day parade.
Theme: "We love Clare because ......."
Parade participants are being asked to stretch the imagination and expand the creativity, with prizes to be won under the following categories:
- Most creative float: €400 prize
- Best interpretation of theme: €400 prize
- Most entertaining entrant: €400 prize
The Mayor of Ennis, Cllr. Clare Colleran Molloy commented that the St. Patrick’s Day parade gives us all an opportunity to revel in our Irish traditions and culture.
“The Ennis parade is a fantastic opportunity for our local communities, clubs and societies to get together and celebrate. I would encourage everyone to get involved and make your mark on this year’s parade.”

Parade details and route map
The St. Patrick's Day parade will take place on bank holiday Monday 17th March 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
The parade will commence at Áras Contae an Chláir, New Road Ennis.
At 11:00 a.m. the parade will proceed right onto New Road and on towards Steele's Terrace, where it will turn left onto Newbridge Road and proceed along by the river towards Club Bridge. The parade will turn left onto Club Bridge and right onto Abbey Street Car Park.
The reviewing stand is located in Abbey Street Car Park and all parade entrants will walk/drive by the reviewing stand.
Once the parade has passed by the reviewing stand, it will proceed up towards Bank Place, turning right and proceeding to Bindon Street. Floats and vehicles will turn left from Bindon Street and proceed towards Maid of Eireann where they will disband, and walkers will proceed to Colaiste Muire Car Park. The parade concludes here.
