Ballyallia, Ennis
Ballyallia Lake is a Special Area of Conservation as well as a Special Protection Area for birds and wildlife sanctuary. The bathing area at Ballyallia Lake is based around a small slipway, consists of small stones and extends 70m along the shoreline.
Please bring your litter home at the end of your visit to Ballyallia.
Under the Litter Pollution Acts 1997-2003, dog-owners are required to clean up after their animals if it fouls in a public place such as public roads, footpaths, parks and beaches. Failure to do so can result in an on-the-spot fine of €150.
Beach bye-laws are in place with horse riding and dogs prohibited between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. during the summer season.
Motorised watercraft, surfing and the use of canoes and kayaks is prohibited in close proximity to swimmers.
