Green Coast Awareness
The Green Coast award recognises beaches of high environmental quality. This year four bathing areas received a Green Coast award.
Awareness campaigns
As part of our environmental education programme we actively promote and encourage the following:
- Participation in Clean Coast initiatives
- Think before you flush
- Leaving no trace
- Protecting our oceans from littering
- Cleaning up after your dog
- Complying with beach rules
Beach information
At each bathing area there is an information board. You will find information here relating to water quality, environmental management, safety and services.
