Carrying out internal audits of activities within Clare County Council

To evaluate internal controls as part of good governance framework

Article 6(1) (c) Processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject.   Sections 9 of the Local Government (Financial and Audit Procedures) Regulations, 2014

Article 6(1)(f) necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests of the data controller: which are: ensuring appropriate internal controls and preventing fraud

Local Government Audit Service, LGAS, under the Housing Local Government and Heritage

Outsourcing internal audits of activities within Clare County Council

To evaluate internal controls as part of good governance framework

Carrying out value for money studies within Clare County Council

To evaluate value for money considerations as part of good governance framework

Article 6(1)(e) necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in Clare County Council, in this case:  Section 14 and 15 of the Local Government (Financial Provisions) Act, 1997.

Article 6(1)(f) necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests of the data controller: which are: ensuring value for money is obtained using public funds

Carrying out special investigations within Clare County Council

To establish facts where activity within a business unit is being investigated.

Article 6(1)(e) necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in Clare County Council, in this case Sections 9 of the Local Government (Financial and Audit Procedures) Regulations, 2014.
