The inaugural Vandeleur Festival Kilrush will take place on the weekend of Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd July and will feature a series of events, including a performance by the Kilfenora Céilí Band and a Fashion Show by the Celia Holman Lee Agency.
Clare’s Older People’s Council, supported by Clare County Council’s Age Friendly Clare and Healthy Clare programmes, hosted a very successful Health and Wellbeing Age Expo at Treacy’s West County Hotel, Ennis, on Friday 30th June.

Cllr Donna McGettigan was elected as Cathaoirleach of the Shannon Municipal District at its AGM pn Thursday 29th June, taking over the role from Cllr Michael Begley.
Cllr John Crowe was elected Leas Cathaoirleach.
Clare County Council has received approval from the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage to proceed with a €11.5m public realm regeneration of Ennis town centre.
Cllr Pat Daly has been elected Mayor of Ennis Municipal District at its Annual General Meeting, held in Áras Contae an Chláir on 29th June, 2023.
Councillor Tony O'Brien has been elected Cathaoirleach of the Killaloe Municipal District at its Annual General Meeting, held on 30th June, 2023.
Cllr Pat Hayes was elected Leas Cathaoirleach.
