Opportunity for Clare filmmakers and game developers
Clare County Council Arts Office will host an information session on the Western Regional Audiovisual Producers Fund (WRAP FUND) and how it may support the activities of Clare film makers and game developers on 9 November at 2.00pm in glór, Ennis.
The WRAP Fund is a Regional Fund committed to strategic investment that encourages regional production activity across the film, television drama, animation and gaming sectors, to support local talent, create sustainable employment, build the audio-visual infrastructure and contribute to the culture and language of the region.
The Fund is an initiative of the Western Development Commission and Galway Film Centre in association with the local authorities of Clare, Donegal, Galway City, Galway County, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo and Údurás na Gaeltachta.
The upcoming information event brings Sarah Dillon, WRAP Manager, to Clare for a Questions & Answers session on the WRAP fund, how it works and how it may support the activities of local film makers and game developers.
“This event is a wonderful opportunity for all of those working in the audio visual sector in Clare to meet, network and discuss ideas with Sarah Dillon. The pre-production stage of filming can be arduous, but by offering peer support through networking and information, we hope to assist the local creative talent in Clare,” commented Siobhán Mulcahy, Clare County Arts Officer. "This event is open to all involved with any aspects of film and gaming production in Clare."
