Busy programme of events for Clare Local Enterprise Week

A free technology seminar ‘Tomorrow’s Technology Trends’ in conjunction with Jaguar Land Rover and the University of Limerick, a Start Your Own Business Networking event, the Clare Student Enterprise Awards and one-to-one business advice clinics are among the highlights of Clare Local Enterprise Week 2019.

Hosted by Local Enterprise Office Clare, at various locations across the county from March 4th to 8th, the week-long schedule of events will include conferences, workshops, seminars, networking, and mentoring clinics, aimed at informing, advising and motivating businesses and potential entrepreneurs to the range of supports and opportunities available in Clare.

Kicking off the week, the first event will be a ‘Pricing Your Product or Service’ workshop on Monday, 4th March. Among the other events being hosted throughout Local Enterprise Week will be a Renewable Energy event in conjunction with Clare Local Development Company in Doolin, a SME –Multinational Procurement Process: A Guide for Suppliers event in conjunction with the Shannon Chamber of Commerce and a ‘Soap Box Breakfast’ in conjunction with the Ennis Chamber of Commerce. Rounding off the week, the Clare county final of the National Enterprise Awards will be hosted in the Old Ground Hotel on Friday, 8th March at 6pm where Clare’s representative for the National awards will be selected.

Launching Clare Local Enterprise Week in Ennis, Minister Pat Breen, Minister of State with special responsibility for Trade, Employment, Business, EU Digital Single Market & Data Protection, commented, “This event will showcase the excellent supports available for enterprise development in the county. SMEs and multinational companies will be on hand to share and learn from each others’ experiences. This is also a great opportunity to learn about the suite of supports available for setting up a new enterprise or investing in an existing business. I would encourage all new and existing business owners in Clare to get involved.”

Speaking of the upcoming Local Enterprise Week, Padraic McElwee, Head of Enterprise Clare commented, “The programme of events presents an ideal opportunity for any business seeking assistance - financial, information, training or otherwise - to find out more about the range of supports available from Local Enterprise Office Clare. We would like to acknowledge the support of our partner agencies, industry members, Chambers of Commerce and local businesses in helping us put this schedule of events together.”

Clare Local Enterprise Week (4-8th March, 2019) is funded by Local Enterprise Office Clare. Many events are free but a nominal fee applies to training workshops. Pre-booking is essential as available places are limited. Further details are available from www.localenterprise/clare or 065 6821616.
