Proposed temporary road closure on the L4114 Kilbreckan Ennis
Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 of Clare County Council’s intention to close the road detailed hereunder for the period stated to facilitate kerb and safety fencing realignment, drainage, road resurfacing, roadmaking’s and signs.
Road to be closed:
L4114 Kilbreckan between the intersection of the east roundabout of Junction 12, M18 and to a point 400m east.
Date and time of closure:
8:00 a.m. Monday 18th August 2025 until 8.00 p.m. on Friday 22nd August 2025 (24 hr closure)
8.00 a.m. Monday 25th August until 8.00 p.m. on Friday 29th August 2025 (24 hr closure)
Alternative routes / diversions;
Traffic inbound from M18 to N85 via junction 12 to Killlow West Roundabout
Traffic inbound from M18 to N85 via junction 12 to Killlow East Roundabout - divert right to Clare Road via N85
Traffic inbound from Clare Road will follow diversion to Clon Road at Applegreen and divert right
Traffic from Clon Road will follow diversion to Station Road/Quin Road junction and divert right out onto Quin Road
Traffic on Quin Road/R469 will follow diversion out to Finanagh/Noughaval junction and divert right for Doora
Traffic diversion from Doora Junction to Clare Road;
Traffic outbound from Doora junction will divert via Ballaghboy Local Road back onto Quin Road R469 and divert left
Traffic on the Quin Road R469 will follow diversion to Station Road/Quin junction near Ennis Station and divert left onto Clon Road
Traffic on the Clon Road will follow diversion to Applegreen and divert left onto Clare Road
Traffic on the Clare Road will follow diversion to Clareabbey Roundabout and follow existing signage thereafter back onto the M18.
