Corporate policy group

The role of the Corporate Policy Group is to co-ordinate and link the work of the various  Strategic Policy Committees and acts as a forum where policy decisions affecting the entire council can be agreed for recommendation to the full council.

The CPG co-ordinates and links the work of the various SPCs and acts as a forum where policy decisions affecting the entire council can be agreed for recommendation to the full council. The CPG acts as a sort of cabinet for the council and is supported by the Chief Executive. The CPG consists of the Cathaoirleach, who chairs the group, together with the cathaoirligh of each of the SPCs. They meet with the Chief Executive and other council officials at least monthly.
