Proposed Section 38 traffic calming measures on the R352 Tulla Road Cycle Scheme Ennis
Notice is hereby given that Clare County Council, pursuant to the provisions of Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994, propose to install the following traffic calming measures:
R352 Regional Road at Lifford, Knockanoura, Cappahard, Newpark, Roslevan and Knockanean, Ennis, Co. Clare
From the junction with Saint Senan’s Road to east of the junction with Hillcrest estate on the Tulla Road: Construction of raised road surfaces to upgrade existing cycle tracks / lanes, raised pedestrian and cyclist crossings, raised speed table at Ballymacahill crossroads, modified junctions and roundabouts, reduction in roadway width and removal of ghost islands.
Associated works shall include landscaping, planting, drainage, alterations to footpaths, installation of new kerbs and shared surfaces, dropped kerbs and tactile paving together with modifications to / installation of all necessary traffic signs and road markings and road reinstatement thereafter to collectively upgrade the existing cycling infrastructure under the Tulla Road Rapid Implementation Cycle scheme.
Plans and particulars for the proposed development are attached below and will be available until 3rd March 2025.
Submissions and observations in relation to the proposals may be made by email to roads@clarecoco.ie or in writing to the Administrative Officer, Transportation Department, Clare County Council, Áras Contae an Chláir, New Road, Ennis, Co. Clare before 4:00 p.m. on Monday 3rd March 2025.
